Hi there,

I'm managing to get the results onto a CSV file but when I want to transfer the file across and TSM open box appears the file isn't there to be selected.

I have open office if that makes any difference.

When I go back and check the file is always there - I just can't access it through TSM.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Alastair

Hi

Are you trying to open a TSM or CSV file.
To open a CSV file use 'Load CSV file' from drop down tool bar ?

If you use the open TSM dialog box then only TSM files will be shown as they are filtered out.

Hi,

The file from Racing Index has been saved as a CSV file automatically. I've even opened openoffice and edit copied but TSM says only load previous CSV/TSM or copy data over which doesn't work. The CSV file is there in my Sundry folder and open but TSM cannot see it there in the TSM open box - when the open box comes up it is not there to select? It says the file c:\Documents and settings\wizard\My Documents\Sundry\OpenFileDialog1\ does not exist.

The file is there c:\Docs&Settings\wizard\my docs\sundry\112904627_csv.mht when I open it up through 'my computer'.

Thanks

Alastair

Hi

The file you are trying to load has the entension *.MHT
I had never heard of this before so googled it.

http://filext.com/file-extension/MHT

Are you saving the http://www.thestakingmachine.com/tipster.php page, after you have generated your data are you clicking

Click here to download as "Csv" file

This should give you the option to only save the file as a CSV file.
Once saved as a CSV dont open it is openoffice first as openoffice may change the formatting.

All you need to do is then open the Load CSV file box and the CSV file should be there.

If the CSV file is not shown then as you are currently doing check in windows file manager to see what extension the file has been given. If the file is being saved automatically with the extension .MHT then i will need to look at this in more detail and find out what causes this as i cant replicate this whatever i do.

Hi

Yes it's been saved and I can open it on it's own:

mhtml:file://c:\Documents and settings\wizard\My Documents\Sundry\1192904627_csv.mht - Windows Internet Explorer

Am I not opening or saving it in the right format - isn't a spreadsheet?

Tried the box next to the master table to no avail - the file isn't in the open box.

I have Openoffice not excel if that means anything.

Thanks

Alastair

Its need to be saved as a CSV file. When opened in Office or Excel it becomes a spreadsheet.

I think the reason why you cant find it is because of this MHT extension. Try renaming the file and changing the extension to CSV.

That may work.

Hi,

Changed it to work in CSV and it still won't appear to be selected - I'll have a play around and see what I can come up with.

Thanks

Alastair
