The TSM Racing Index Parsing Tool has been running now for a fair few months. This thread has been created to keep tabs on updates to the tool.

From time to time, new services are added to the racing-index site.

If I parse an E/W tipster at http://www.thestakingmachine.com/tipster.php will the parse tool recognise that 2, 3, and possibly 4 count as a win?

Apologies for the delay in replying Deepjoy. Your post completely passed me by until now.

Your answer is yes it will. When using the E/W level staking plan at default the settings are 1 = outright win and 2,3 and 4 are each way wins.
Everything else will be treated as a loss. Non runners are automatically filtered out before they get to the CSV file.

On a side issue the Odds Percentage > SP: % feature will not make any difference to the TSM data and will shortly be removed. The Odds quoted on the Racing-Index site are for SP. Changing the Odds Percentage does not effect the odds generated. It only effects the profit/loss. To adjust the odds you have to use the 'Adjust Odds Globally Feature' in the TSM software.

No problem on the side issue right now, I'm just playing around with the basics, and as you mention I can use TSM's global odds tool.

Do you think it would be possible in the future to have a few other staking plans for E/W?

It is hoped to add 2 or 3 each way staking plans in the next update. Development time has been limited this month but work will begin soon.

Having just checked the racing-index available tipsters i realised that quite a few tipsters have been added and some even removed. Everything has been updated so that the TSM tool matches the racing-index once more. Enjoy !

Hi,

Is it possible to add an SP % adjustment as Betfair is often 20% over SP.
This features on the Racing Index website.

Hi

You can adjust the odds globally in TSM. You can do this by clicking on 'edit global odds' on the main toolbar. Here you can change the odds by 20% or whatever setting you wish.

At some point last week racing-index updated their archive system. The results are now available from 01/01/2007 unless otherwise requested. The layout was also adjusted. This meant the TSM script would not work.

This has now been fixed. The data TSM can extract is from 01/01/2007 on wards although the initial date says otherwise. This very small bug will be fixed shortly.
