Recovery Type 2 Staking Plan

The Recovery Type 2 Staking Plan is a designed to recover losses gradually without risking excessive bankroll exposure.

Recovery mode is only entered after a winning bet which ensure that during losing runs stakes do not increase.

Once in recovery mode, each winning bet reduces the series deficit by its stake, not the profit generated, ensuring a realistic and measured progression toward recovery.

The Staking Plan is setup to reset after two consecutive wins.

How the Recovery Type 2 Staking Plan Works

  1. Base Stake:

    • Typically set as a percentage of the bankroll (e.g., 1%). For a £100 bankroll, the base stake would be £1.
  2. Losses:

    • Each losing bet adds its stake to the series deficit. Stakes remain at the base level during losing streaks.
  3. Wins in Recovery Mode:

    • Each winning bet reduces the series deficit by the stake of the winning bet, not the profit generated. Stakes are adjusted to reflect the updated deficit.
  4. Reset Mechanism:

    • After two consecutive wins, the series resets to the base stake, and the deficit clears.

Worked Example

Let’s consider a bettor with a £100 bankroll and a base stake of 1% (£1). The series deficit reflects the cumulative stakes placed.

Sequence of Bets

  1. Bet 1: Loss (-£1)

    • Series Deficit: £1
    • Next Stake: £1
  2. Bet 2: Loss (-£1)

    • Series Deficit: £2 (£1 + £1)
    • Next Stake: £1
  3. Bet 3: Loss (-£1)

    • Series Deficit: £3 (£2 + £1)
    • Next Stake: £1
  4. Bet 4: Win (decimal odds 5)

    • Stake: £1
    • Net Profit: £4 (£1 × (5 – 1))
    • Series Deficit: £3 remains (deficit does not reduce on the first win in recovery mode)
    • Next Stake: £3
  5. Bet 5: Loss (-£3)

    • Series Deficit: £6 (£3 prior deficit + £3 stake)
    • Next Stake: £1
  6. Bet 6: Win (decimal odds 4)

    • Stake: £1
    • Net Profit: £3 (£1 × (4 – 1))
    • Series Deficit: £5 (£6 deficit – £1 stake from this win)
    • Next Stake: £5
  7. Bet 7: Win (decimal odds 3)

    • Stake: £5
    • Net Profit: £10 (£5 × (3 – 1))
    • Series Deficit: £0 (£5 deficit – £5 stake from this win, fully cleared)
    • Next Stake: £1 (series resets after two consecutive wins).
