It has a very been busy 2025 in the TSM world as we set about taking our built-in Selection Hunter to the next level. Creating your own selection systems for Horse & Greyhounds has never been easier.

There are now almost 200 Filters available for Horse Racing and over 160 Filters for Greyhounds.

For a full breakdown see – Horse Racing Glossary & Greyhound Racing Glossary.

TSM links seamlessly into Selection Hunter so that you can analyse the historical data for any selection systems created.

Selection Hunter can be used to:

  • Analyse past racing results all the way back 2021 and create your own profitable betting systems.
  • Use the filters to back test your ideas against the historical data. Make sure your selection system has an edge before placing any real bets.
  • Analyse your selection system results in TSM and have access to the usual analysis including Edge (ROI), Longest Winning/Losing Streaks and more.
  • Test for back and lay systems. The historical odds used are BSP which is the same for Back/Lay.
  • Run your systems against the days RaceCards and find any bets for the day in seconds.

Whether you’re focused on specific race types, courses, or other criteria, this innovative tool empowers you to develop and refine systems that deliver consistent success. With Selection Hunter, building a winning strategy has never been easier—or more effective.

The video below show cases The Selection Hunter in TSM in under 60 seconds.

Selection Hunter Working Example

In the video below we are going to dive straight in and create our first query. We are going to fetch all today’s selections that have a Racing Post Rating Rank of 1. This means that in their respective race they are the highest ranking horse using the Racing Post Ratings.

Now let’s add another query. All selections must also have an Official Rating Rank of 1. This means that in their respective race they are the highest ranking horse under the Official Ratings.

As we build our queries, we can by default back test over the last 6 months. Let’s see how our simple query would of performed over the last 6 months.

Queries are saved inside groups. In order to save our query let’s create a new group and save it for future use.

We can analyse the data in Selection Hunter to fine tune our queries and create profitable Selection Systems.

We can also export our query results straight into the main screen of TSM so that we can analyse the results in more detail.

Selection Hunter is also available in the TSMapp. (Online Version). All TSM subscribers have access to both TSM V8 Desktop (Windows) and TSMapp (Web Based).

The short below shows the TSMapp in action. Note – the visible working minimum CSS screen size for Selection Hunter in the TSMapp is 1100 x 630. This will rule out some devices such as mobile phones and smaller tablets.

The Selection Hunter has been available in our Sister Software – The Bet Machine (Automated Betting Software) for some time now. This means that any selection systems you create in TSM can be exported across into TBM. The selections can then be placed automatically at Betfair or Betdaq.
