Introducing DH Racecards

DH Racecards are an abbreviated form of Horse and Greyhound Racecards that have been made available to all The Staking Machine (TSM) and our sister software The Bet Machine (TBM) subscribers. 

DH Racecards are produced by a long term TSM user  – Dave H (DH) who has a passion for data analysis. 

The DH Racecards are available in addition to the built-in Racecards in TSM. They are designed for the bettor who wants to bet live throughout the day and find value where it exists. Although absolute systems could be derived from the DH Racecard such as betting on all Top Rated, in the long term, the profit is finding value through out the day.  The DH Racecards have been made available to download as an Excel File meaning you can add your own notes throughout the day.

Greyhound Racecards

Example Greyhound Racecard – 02/01/2026 20:12 –  Nottingham. There are 9 catagories for each Greyhound. The red highlights are the top rated in that catagory. The winner in this race wsa Loco Les at a BSP of 30. This was highlighted red in 3 catagories. This is the kind of value bet the cards can be used to find.

DH Greyhound Card Legend

  • Runner Dog – Name
  • Overall Score – DH overall ranking for the runner
  • Form_Score – Dogs overall form in general
  • Dcsr_Score – Dog track performance rank
  • Lx3_Score – Dogs last 3 runs ranked
  • SC av_Score – Dogs last 6 runs scored
  • TSrk_Score – Trainer form ranked
  • D1Yrk_Score – Dogs 1 year performance ranked
  • T1Yrk_Score – Trainers 1 year performance ranked
  • D1YR%_Score – Dogs 1 year win % scored
  • T1YR%_Score – Trainer 1 year win % scored
  • RankingHits – Numer of overall ranking hits
  • Form – Last 5 race positions

Horse Racecards

As DH has improved the racecards over time there are now 2 versions included. The DH New Card is the latest. 

Example Horse Racecard – 02/01/2026 15:42 – Chelmsford. There are 8 catagories for each Horse. The red highlights are the top rated in that catagory. As with the Greyhound Cards, these can be used to find value when following live.

DH Horse (New Card) Legend

  • CRS –C denotes winner at course
  • DIST – D denotes winner at distance
  • CRSDIST – CD denotes course and distance winner
  • Jockey – Name of Jockey
  • TW%L6_Score – Trainer win % last 6 races
  • T2YCR%  – Trainer 2 year win % at course
  • JW%L6_ score – Jockey win % last 6 races
  • J2YCR% – Jockey 2 year win % at course
  • JTW%L6_Score – Jockey and trainer W% last 6 score
  • OR DIF_Score – Official Rating diference since last time out score
  • TORK_Score – Total of 4 different rankings scored
  • BSP DIF_Score – Difference in BSP from last time out scored

DH Selections

There are also several selection systems available on the portal. These selections are derived by DH using his own racecards and Selection Hunter. These are absolute systems (Fixed Rules). There are many systems being proofed live and as more pass ‘the test’, they will be added. 

If you are a TBM User (The Bet Machine – Automated Betting Bot sister software) then you can fully automate several of the Greyhound Systems with Betfair/Betdaq. 

Results are updated around 0800 hours the following day and are shown on the Previous Results tab on the portal.
